Square Footage Secrets provides real estate brokers with timely, accurate, and needed information related to determining square footage of residential properties.  This course builds on the NC Real Estate Commission’s information in recent update courses by providing ways to increase skills in personally determining square footage, to improve understanding of techniques and accuracy when brokers engage a more experienced party to provide square footage, and to better understand the square footage shown in appraisals.  Topics include: choosing a measuring device, a recent Commission case, ceiling height, basements, stairs, bay windows, what is heated living area, the Commission’s “Yellow Book,” ANSI standards, measuring from the outside and inside, oddball properties, calculation review, and more.
