This very popular class format is back and updated with new cases involving criminal, civil, and Appraisal Board matters with larger focus on Appraisal Board cases. Both commercial and residential examples will be presented. We will look at AMCs, homeowners, and real estate brokers and the types of complaints they file against appraisers and how to avoid them. We will identify common liability risks for appraisers and look at ways to limit liability. Of course, we will reference USPAP, review appropriate appraisal methodology, and provide tips for developing and reporting your appraisals.
The no-pressure format of this course allows for contemplation that includes discussion and for learning by mere listening. The interesting methods of presentation in this series have been well received by students state-wide. Please note that this is a stand-alone course; students do not need to complete a prior case law class have a positive experience in this class.
