*Effective October 1, 2019, appraisal trainees will have the option of when to take the Residential Market Analysis & Highest & Best Use course. The class is still required to qualify as a Licensed Residential or Certified Residential Appraiser. Candidates for Certified General Appraiser do not need this course. The change is that Residential Market Analysis & Highest & Best Use will no longer be required to qualify for Registered Trainee status. Prior to October 1st, the class is required to qualify as a Registered Trainee. Students may continue to take the course as part of the trainee series package or may take the course as part of the upgrade classes.
We encourage students seeking to become a Licensed Residential or Certified Residential Appraiser to attend Residential Market Analysis & Highest & Best Use on October 26th and 27th to meet the NC Appraiser requirement. Supervisory appraisers are scheduled to speak to the class on October 26th about their appraisal practice, what they look for in a trainee, and answer general questions about the profession. Some will be collecting resumes from students and setting up interviews. In addition, students will have the opportunity to complete a demonstration appraisal in class.
