Except for the Supervisory Appraiser/Trainee Appraiser Course, each course listed above requires a proctored exam to be administered at the end of the class. The exams will be administered in-class, and there is no state exam. Fees listed above include all books and handouts, except for The Appraisal Foundation’s Student eManual for the 15-Hour USPAP Course. See below for further details:
Two books are required for the 15-Hour National USPAP Course: the 15-Hour National USPAP Course Book and the 15-Hour National USPAP Course Student Manual. The 15-Hour National USPAP Course Book is provided to students and included in the course fee. However, The Appraisal Foundation ceased printing a hard copy version of the 15-Hour National USPAP Student Manual. As a result, students now will need to purchase their own electronic copy of the 15-Hour National USPAP Student Manual directly from The Appraisal Foundation. Once the new version of the student eManual is available, we will provide a link to purchase the manual on The Appraisal Foundation’s website.
A high school diploma is required to become a Registered Trainee. For more information on becoming a trainee and on appraiser certification, please visit the website of the NC Appraisal Board or the Appraisal Foundation. The NC Appraisal Board also provides an Information Booklet, a great resource that we highly recommend to anyone interested in becoming a NC appraiser.
